“God is in control” never appears in the Bible. While I know HE, the CREATOR of the universe, has not left us on our own, and HE is the Eternal and Everlasting Authority of our life, we …should probably acknowledge that GOD is not a “control freak.” Just the opposite. HE is the Heavenly Parent that anticipates and knows each movement and perhaps give us a new friend, a new home, location, job, situation–patiently inserting a feather-felt tap on our shoulder so-to-speak, turning us ever so slightly so we see a new view and not the “same-old.” Nope God is not a control freak–not HIM!
28. “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Jesus calls to all who have troubles in this world and offers us all rest. Believe that He is the Son of God and learn about who Jesus is by reading the Bible. My Pastor always says to start reading in the Gospel of Mark because it is the shortest Gospel (Matthew, Luke and John are longer)! Ask God to find someone who will read it with you. Jesus promises to give your soul rest from guilt and shame. For Jesus has done it all by dying on the cross, and rising again from the grave after three days as predicted back in the book of Isaiah in the Old Testament, so that we can have forgiveness of all our sins and look forward to eternal life with him for 10,000 years and forever more! And not only that, which is so huge in itself, but also we get to have His presence in our lives on this earth as we live and trust Him.
Will you all please consider this? . . . I accepted Him as my Savior years ago, and he has changed my life so much. He broke me of my addiction to alcohol and gambling and a furious life style that was getting worse and worse every day to the point that I was almost killed or worse! It’s not that you won’t have bad times. I’ll be honest; there will be bad times, but it will be different the next time as you call upon the name of “Jesus” you will know that Jesus is walking with you through it. It really makes a big difference knowing that the God of the entire Universe cares for us and loves us. He only asks that we let Him into our daily lives.
Once again, will you all please consider this?

The Bible tells us that God says to “count your days.” He wants
us to know that this life comes to an end. He wants us to use
each day to the fullest! That could mean spending time with your family,
time in the Word, time helping a neighbor, or babysitting
for a young mother, or calling an old friend to encourage her,
or even bungy jumping; this list goes on and on . . .
the life after this one will be for 10,000 years and forever more!
My five-year old granddaughter and I were snuggled in bed saying our prayers together. My granddaughter then asked me if I would turn on the little “book light” that I have attached to my Bible. I thought that maybe she was afraid of the dark, so I turned it on. Then she said the sweetest thing to my ears that I could ever hear from her mouth: “Can you read the Psalms to me.” So I read:
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.
Know that the Lord is God.
It is He who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
For the Lord is good and His love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
“Ask the LORD for rain in the springtime; it is the LORD who makes the storm clouds. He gives showers of rain to men, and plants of the field to everyone.” Zechariah 10:1
The Bible says to ask for rain in the spring!
Whenever it rains, I always say, “Thank you, God, for Your perfect rain; protect us from the storm.”
God’s perfect rain is a gift from God. It is a steady rain that last just enough time each day to replenish the earth.
Let all of God’s people pray and ask God for his perfect rain in the spring!
1. The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters,
3. He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of Righteousness for his name’s sake.
4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
6. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
