“And we who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” II Corinthians 3:18
“Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion! Shout, Daughter of Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and having salvation, gentle and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.” Zechariah 9:9
Pastor Bryan, Ph.D.,–remember that’s what I call St. Pauls’ Presbyterian Church’s pastor (everyone else just calls him Bryan!) says that our God is our “Unstoppable App.” Pastor Bryan, Ph.D. mentioned last weekend how there is now an App to find your car in the parking lot–years ago, I use to just depend on my children to help me find my car in the Winn Dixie parking lot–I won’t go into the time that we tried to break into a car that looked just like ours, BUT WAS NOT! Pastor Bryan, Ph.D. also stated that there is an app to do some fashionista shopping at a virtual store. Also, there is an App for your sneakers that makes the music you are listening to play faster to make you jog faster! This all too cool!
But what is even more amazing is that our God is the “Unstoppable App!” With God, we can receive a reminder from “The Phone Prayer App” to remind us to stop and pray with God over our day and all our loved ones, situations and worries. The “Phone Prayer App” would be scheduled to shout out a “Hllelujiah” or “Praise the Lord, oh my soul,” throughout the day. Jesus did so happen to say that if we don’t praise Him, the rocks and stones would call out and praise Him–so why not a “Smart Phone?”
“We cannot stop the relationship of God!” He is constantly seeking to have a connection with us. God is unstoppable; He’s always moving, so we can relax; He’s on it!!!! Jesus invites us to join Him; . . . the gates of hell will not prevail against . . .
Then there is the “All-In App.” It has been said that Jesus was either the Savior of the world or He was insane! He came gently and lovingly with compassion, yet most did not understand that He is the Messiah–the resurrection really got them though. Why would an insane man make himself so popular to end up crucified in a horrific death on the cross?
A final remark: The relationship that God seeks to have with us, is up to God; He’s pursuing us, not the other way around! Just say, “Yes,” to His invitation to be His child and to accept Jesus as His Son who died for us on the cross for our mistakes. We are His children; we are a Child of the King!
